We were recently asked to upgrade the siding on a property in Old Town. They wanted to put on a composite Hardie Board to match the addition that was added on the back. With the BAR regulations of Old Town we knew that would not be allowed. We coached the homeowners and explained that we would only be able to replace it with the same wood siding. The BAR wanted us to only repair what was existing however we were able to work with the BAR to allow full replacement of the time period appropriate siding that was used. The front of the siding and trim of the home were replaced and painted to reflect the true beauty of the original home.
